The Director of Nursing plans, organizes, and directs the provision of patient care services.  They supervise department personnel and all functions including developing and maintaining nursing service objectives, standards of care, policy and procedure, and education in-services.     

The successful candidate will be versed in current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts.  They must possess current leadership, management, and performance improvement concepts and the ability to participate in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving nursing care delivered to patients. 

Licensure Requirements: Current Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Texas..

Education: ASN required, BSN preferred

Experience: 5 years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting, 2-3 years in a nursing managerial, supervisory, or instructor role.

Technical Training: Current CPR certification required. TNCC, ACLS, and PALS preferred.
